Panasonic Home Entertainment Launch 2011

Brief
  • Develop training content for an event that would bring the latest product range to life in 3D.
  • Live stream content from Sydney to other involved States.
  • Overall project management of events.
  • Source appropriate venues in each five States.
  • Oversee all creative design and graphics for the event.
  • Manage the catering and parking requirements for the event.
  • Design, create and manage the online registration microsite.
  • Design and create a stage set as per client brief.
  • Provide technical support for the entire event.
  • Manage and coordinate a separate Sydney event for the media launch.

Idea

  • Following the initial brief, Neon presented a unique idea to engage the audience in a fun and ground breaking way by producing a 15 minute branded 3D comedy short-film, profiling the Panasonic products. Our talented team scripted, filmed and edited the content.
  • Neon delivered Australia’s first 3D satellite broadcast trade event which was shown simultaneously in all capital cities around Australia – an Australian first!
  • Using an overall design, these were used in all associated online and print elements to create hype around the upcoming Panasonic short-film.
  • Hoyts was chosen as the ideal venue as we wanted to create a movie premiere feel for Panasonic’s 3D short- film.
  • To add to the premiere feel, as guests arrived they walked the red carpet where the film crew P! (take on the successful entertainment program E!) were there to interview them in front of the customized media wall.
  • A stage set was built to create a lounge room environment (that would work well when filmed in 3D) from where the speakers could present. Using a wallpaper backdrop, two leather tub chairs, the latest Panasonic TV and a floor lamp we created a homely environment that reflected elements of the Dwyier’s home (family in 3D short-film).
  • An event highlights video and red carpet vox-pops coverage was edited overnight and was with the client within 8 hours of the event concluding.
  • Custom build interactive product displays were prominently placed to allow the audience to interact with the latest Panasonic home entertainment products following the movie premiere.

“We viewed this event as a fun way to introduce our new product range to our partners, while showcasing Panasonic 3D technology advances. We were thrilled with both the smooth running of the event, as well as the feedback we received from both trade and media guests at the event.”
